From April 16 to 20, the International Mask Arts & Culture Organization (IMACO) visited Weifang, China to engage in working-level discussions regarding the upcoming 2026 IMACO General Assembly to be held in Weifang. Through these meetings, both parties reaffirmed their strong commitment to the successful organization of the 2026 General Assembly, and it was confirmed that the cooperative relationship between the two institutions has been further strengthened. In addition, the City of Weifang presented concrete proposals concerning future cultural exchange with Andong City, and constructive discussions were held on the possibility of mutual collaboration between the two cities’ major festivals.
This visit was particularly meaningful as it was made at the official invitation of the 2025 World Mask Culture and Arts Exhibition, co-hosted by IMACO and the City of Weifang. IMACO remains committed to promoting the global spread of traditional mask culture and enhancing mutual cultural understanding through continued active international exchange and cooperation.
