- Description : In September, the International Mask Arts & Culture Organization (IMACO) was invited by the Preservation Society of Yecheon Cheongdan Noreum, a Gyeongsangbuk-do-designated intangible heritage, to attend the 2025 Yecheon Intangible Heritage Joint Presentation. Prior to the performances, the president and secretary-general of the Preservation Society expressed their gratitude to IMACO for its presence. Meaningful discussions were held on various topics, including the current state of intangible heritage designated at the provincial and municipal levels, the expansion of IMACO’s international exchanges, support for the collection of Korean masks, and potential avenues for collaboration on the international stage.
This joint presentation featured not only Yecheon Cheongdan Noreum but also other nationally recognized intangible heritage groups such as Yecheon Tongmyeong Nongyo and Songpa Sandae Nori. In addition, several other preservation societies—including Yecheon Gongcheo Nongyo, as well as groups from Pohang and Gumi—participated in the event, adding to its significance and prestige.
